Healthy still

Hello everyone.  This year, I had another pet/ct scan.  It's clear again.  I've been in remission  of mantle cell 4th stage cancer for 10 years.  I went to Dr. Burzynski in Texas and was guided there through prayer.  My oncologist in Arizona was willing to work with him since he said there was no way I would live with his treatment.  I didn't do any chemo or radiation.  Live is wonderful.  We have 30 grandchildren and another on the way.

Still alive and well

Just wanted to check in and say....I'm still in full remission of Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Life is wonderful.  God lives and has healed me.  I've been in remission now of cancer since 2010.

Still in Remission

I am feeling wonderful.  Absolutely wonderful!!  Still in remission.  Everyday I thank Heavenly Father for curing me of cancer and allowing me to live life with my husband and family.  Dr. Burzynski was the tool that the Lord used to heal me...along with my local oncologist.  I'm so grateful for all the prayers and financial help that I have received in the past.  Life is absolutely wonderful!!!

July 2013

My last ct/pet scan was clean again.  I am feeling sooo good and enjoy life with my wonderful husband.  We just had another darling grandchild born and have 4 more on the way. That will make a total of 21 grand kids.  Amazing.
I'm so grateful to be alive and get to enjoy them.
Last night, Larry and I had a cousin party for our grand children.  We went swimming, popped popcorn, jumped rope (the hose) and watched Polyanna.  We have the most adorable grandkids.  I'm not joking!

Now, Larry and I are helping my brother, Richard, to get well of his cancer.  He is going to the Burzynski Clinic.  Our family raised almost $20,000 to assist him.  My sister, Helen, called the family members and pulled at their heart strings and put on the pressure.  It's amazing how they responded.  Then, an anonymous family donated $10,000 to help with his care.   I know God is blessing  him.
He has 8 children and his youngest is 1 years old.  He has great hope of getting well. 

New CT Pet Scan Results

Yes!!  Clean results again.
I had my scans on 12/28/12 and there is No hypermetabolic lymphadenopathy.
I feel so blessed to have great health, great doctors, and amazing friends and family!

Last Tests

Just a quick update-
I went again to Dr. Burzynski in July and my pet scan was completly clear of cancer again.  I've just been too busy to write.  (But, no excuses Margaret)  Dr. Burzynski lowered my medicines again and will do it again in December.  They plan to have me completely off the anti neoplastins in June or July of 2013.

Christina and Joseph had their third baby, a darling little girl, born the last day in July.  She had another c-section.  I got to go and help her out for a couple of weeks.  Then I brought some of our grand children down from Utah to be at our grand daughters baptism in Arizona.  We are so proud of Rebecca for making the choice to be a member of Jesus Christ's church.  Then we brought the kids back to Utah and helped Christina a little more.  Today Tate is 8 years old and he will be baptized next month.  He's so excited!

In two weeks we go back to Utah for a do-Terra seminar and to visit Jonathan and Carrie.  It seems like we spend a lot of time in Utah.  We are so excited to get to see their new home and visit with their family.  On the way home we will attend our new grand daughter's baby blessing down in St. George.
I was well all summer..but...
This week I've had a bad sore throat...and have been trying to get better.  Gargling with warm water and a touch of ginger and red pepper is amazing.  I've also been using oregano oil and other essential oils.  I'm doing a lot better I think.

My Father in Law

My wonderful father in law passed away a few weeks ago.  My husband and I were suppose to go to his home for dinner and spend some time with him.   But because our daughter and her husband and kids were coming down from Utah, Larry went alone.  Larry found his dad sitting in his favorite chair.  He had died in his sleep.  Larry was able to spend a little quiet time there with him until the rest of the family came over.  We all met together in the living room and reminisced and talked about things.  My father in law, Don Manning, is an incredible man full if love and wisdom.  We all miss him very much!  But, he is now with his sweetheart, Marva Call Manning, and couldn't be happier.  He died Easter week which worked out well for all the family.  The funeral was very special and the talks and music were a great tribute to him.  Dad had served his country and a large folded flag was given to both of his son's as a tribute and memory of their father.  It has been a very busy past two weeks as all of us have emptied out the home and divided up his belongings.  The home is already on the market ready to be sold.  He has a beautiful flower garden and vegetable garden and has always taken excellent care of his home. 

In just 3 days, our son, Thomas, will be married to Tannis.  We are very excited for this marriage and she will fit in well with the family.  She is very sweet and extremely positive and smart.  Thomas loves her so much.  They'll be married for time and all eternity in the Arizona Temple.  Family will be heading down tomorrow.  Lots of things are happening at our house and I am so happy to be alive and able to be here on this earth to see our son get married and to enjoy our family growing up.
I thank God everyday for sparing my life and granting me extra time on this earth.

Special Birthday

I've had a wonderful day! Breakfast with Aaron and Andrea and their 5 kids. Lunch with Maria and her son,Sam. Dinner with Larry at Olive Garden. (Thank you Joseph and Christina!) I'm stuffed full of fun, memories and food. My friends and family have all called, sent or brought by gifts and I feel very loved. I have a big smile on my face! I'm grateful for my parents and miss them as they are up in heaven. I appreciate all their sacrifices for me and their great teachings. I wish I could hug them and thank my Mother for bringing me into this world.
I'm 56 years old and was born in '56. So that is special. Also, I was told that I wouldn't live longer than a year with cancer if I didn't do chemo. I was also told that if I did the strongest chemo in the hospital and bone marrow transplant twice that I may live 3 years...but not with good health. It's been 3 years and I feel great and am truly blessed with wonderful health. I'm so thankful to all my loved ones and for their prayers and money and faith in my behalf. Also, I am so grateful to my loving Heavenly Father and for His great mercy in extending my life and healing me...and for His guidance to Dr. Burzynski. :) :) :)

Back from the Clinic

It's been a wonderful couple of weeks. Our new little grandson, Andrew, was born to Aaron and Andrea. He was born at home and is healthy and well. The next day, Larry and I flew to Houston, TX to see Dr. Burzynski. There is no sign of cancer at all. He has reduced the medicine he has me on to 3 times a day instead of 4. I need to have another ct/pet scan in 6 months and will need to go back to the clinic. He wants to make sure there are no stem cells left in my body. Everything looks really good. Still in remission!
Came home from the clinic and watched Aaron and Andrea's other 4 kids for several days and then flew to Utah to be with Jonathan and Carrie and there kids. We had a great time together! On the flight home, I met a darling young lady who donated $500 towards my medicine! She is soooo sweet.
Now I'm home and Thomas is engaged! He is marrying Tannis, who is a darling girl and we love her. That happened last night, on Valentine's. This weekend, we will be meeting her parents and going out to dinner.
Our daughter, Christina and her husband found out they are expecting a girl! We are so excited. They spent the morning at the hospital though as she has been spotting. She over excercised and needs to stay down for awhile. They say the baby is fine.

B

Gardening

We have a beautiful garden and I've reaping this morning. I just got 3 heads of cauliflower, 2 cabbages, radishes, tomatoes, cilantro, parsley, lots of lettuce and more. It's fun! But I miss my little grand daughter, Lily, because she is my helper when it comes to reaping. Now she lives up in Utah and I have to reap all by myself.

This weekend we leave to Houston to visit Dr. Burzysnki. I'm anxious to find out if I can start diminishing my anti neoplastins and then got off of them entirely. I'll do whatever the doctor says to do. I love going to the Burzysnki clinic. They are so positive and upbeat there, and have a wonderful spirit about them. I've packed my bags already and am ready to go.

I'm hopeful that our grandson will be born before we leave, as he was due last week. I love life and am soooo grateful for may more years ahead of me. I've been exercising and bike riding and just enjoying the beautiful weather. I've also started writing our family history. I'm eternally grateful to a loving Father in Heaven who was so merciful to me and who snatched me from an early death of cancer. I'm also indebted to Dr. Burzysnki and his staff as well as my wonderful family and friends. So many have prayed for me and paid for my pills. I want to bless other peoples lives and serve in whatever ways I can.

Ct/Pet Scan again

Well, I got the results back from the latest Ct/Pet Scan taken after Christmas. It was perfectly clear and absolutely no sign of cancer. So, I have been clear since August 2010. I feel set free! It' a wonderful feeling. It's so nice to have energy, health, and the ability to go forward with my life. I enjoy serving my family and others, spending time with my dear husband, organizing the house and planning for the future. I love going for bike rides and walks and the list goes on and on. I feel like Scrooge when he sang the words, "I love life, life loves me."
Yesterday, I baked bread, made pizza, and watched my darling grandson. Today, Larry and I put away Christmas and further organized the garage, went shopping and prepared for the Sabbath. It was fun to have the tree up so long. We actually wanted to keep it up until the Wise men came...like our Mexican friends do. I got some some gifts too!

Christmas

I love Christmas time! It's my favorite time of year...singing the beautiful Christmas Carols, being around family and friends more, studying more deeply about the life of Jesus in the New Testament...seeing the shiny lights and all the service and giving that makes Christmas so magical!

The most wonderful gift ever given is the gift of our Saviour Jesus Christ. Jesus has saved my soul from sin and from pain and sickness and I will forever be in debt to him. God truly loves all of us so much that "He sent His Son," to rescue us. We are all on a journey to find true peace and happiness and I know that it is only found through Jesus Christ. Just like the Wisemen of old, we can follow the light of gospel truth and find Jesus. But, when we find Him, we don't find the little baby or child, we find the risen Lord. The greatest miracle ever is the atonement of Jesus, when he suffered for our pains, sorrows, illnesses, and sins, died on the cross and was resurrected! Because of this, we can each be cleansed and dwell with Him someday.

It is through Jesus Christ that I have been healed. He is the "Great healer" and can work through inspired men and women on earth to assist Him in His work. He reaches out to each of us and desires to heal us in His own time and way.

News clip

Last night, Channel 3 News did a feature story on Dr. Burzynski. My husband, our son Thomas and I were all interviewed a couple of weeks ago. Last night I received an email from a dear woman up in Flagstaff whose son has Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma like I did. I called her back and we talked. She is a very determined woman who has great faith and deep love for her only son. He's in his early 30's, and has kids. She had watched the news and somehow found my email address. She has passed on the info to her son and felt it was an answer to her prayers.
Channel 3 is doing a wonderful job...and they are very brave to share the truth on the air. I'm going to watch their news station more often because they are open minded and are good people.
Even if the news clip can help one person get over cancer then it was worth it. Again, I am sooo grateful to be well and cancer free!! I want to do all I can to spread the word about Dr. Burzynski and how he is doing a great work in helping to cure cancer.

Fractured leg

Ouch! Yesterday I fractured my fibula bone, near my ankle. Oh well.
So, I'm on crutches, using a wheel chair and also a scooter. I'm all equipped. I was at Maria's house coming down her stairs and I missed a step or two and hit the tile really hard. I should have taken off my glasses because the bottom part of the lens is about 300 and used for reading....and I couldn't see well. Anyway, I was fine for about 4 hours until something must have cracked. I was at Michaels' getting some ornaments and I was suddenly in severe pain. I hopped around looking for a basket, bought my items while on one leg and hopped out to the car. I couldn't drive with my right foot. I was in excruciating pain driving along with my left foot. I hopped into the house and then crawled to the couch. I called Larry. Yeah for Larry. He came to the rescue and brought me to the doctor. Now I am wearing a removable cast up to my knee. It could take up to 8 weeks to heal. Another trial. I'm so glad that my house is all decorated and the tree is up. I wish it wouldn't have happened and I will be more careful in the future. But....come what may and love it!

Thanksgiving 2011

What a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!
We had all of our children here and their families. the meal was yummy...everyone helped out!
The weather was perfect. We enjoyed making Ginger bread houses and Christmas trains together. The adults ate a delicious dinner on Friday at Mi Amigos and then went to a play "It's a Wonderful Life." On Saturday we had our pictures taken at Brandt Studio and he is amazing. It was so fun and I'm so excited to see the pictures. He is so entertaining and makes you laugh. The picture is our gift for Christmas from Aaron and Andrea. I can't wait to get it on our wall.

On Sunday, Larry and I spoke in church on Gratitude and it was so special to have all of our family in attendance as well as Larry's father. We spoke on the miracles in our lives. How I was healed of cancer and how Larry was healed of diabetes. The Lord has been so merciful to us and extended our lives. We are eternally indebted to Him. I am so thankful for prayer and the Spirit that directs our lives.
We got the 2 families off to Utah after church and sent with them their Christmas packages. That will save us money not having to mail them.
They texted us last night saying they arrived safely. Yeah!!

We've got the Christmas tree up and today we'll finish the lights and the decorating.....hopefully.
I'm so happy that I am feeling great and can enjoy my family. Health is so important and I love spending time with my children, their spouses and my grandchildren.
(and husband of course!)

Good news...Christina is pregnant and they are expecting in August. They will have three kids under the age of 2. (at least for a month before Craig turns 3) Crazy huh. But I'm excited.
So, with Aaron and Andrea's son coming in January, that will be 16 grand kids. Wow.
Life is wonderful!!

Scan Results

In case anyone wants to know about my last ct/pet scan results dating 11/2/2011 they are posted below.

1. There are no changes since the prior study.
2. There is no abnormal hypermetablolic activity present from the neck down to the pelvic region to suggest the presence of any metabolically active metastatic disease.

I am so happy that I am well and have been in remission since 8/2010. I'm very blessed and am enjoying life sooo very much!!!

Ct/Pet Scan today

I'm finally feeling really good after my operation. It's so nice.
Today I have my 6 month ct/pet scan to check for tumors.
I'm fasting and get to have the glucose injection then wait in a chair for 45 minutes before getting to ride on the bed that goes under the big machine with the doughnut like hole. I put my arms up while I ride in and out of this hole. By the time they are done my arms are slightly numb. They try to make me as comfortable as possible. They will be looking for abnormal metabolic activity. In the past they have checked me every 3 months. I have my appointment with Dr. Kellogg on Thursday to find out the results.

Spoiled

I feel spoiled by my friends and family. The other night, my son, Aaron, and his wife and four kids showed up at the door with cleaning supplies and a vaccuum, broom, mop, etc. They scoured the house... and it really needed it. It was soooo nice of them. I was really touched by their love. Also, Maria, brought in delicious homemade bread today. The other family members are kind and loving as well and do what they can. So, as you can see, I am spoiled.

Also, my friends have been there as well. We had another delicious dinner last night and a girlfriend helped me with my ipod and downloaded new music onto it for me.
I feel like I'm bragging. I hope not.

It was wonderful to have Larry's father over tonight for dinner. He brings a special feeling into our home and I admire him very much.

I feel much better today than yesterday.

Ouch!

I had my operation this week and am in pain. I'm resting most of the time. Many kind people are bringing in meals. My dear family members have called, brought cards, flowers, and love. Larry is being very helpful as well. Thomas is sick and so is his girlfriend, so I am playing keep away and trying to stay in the bedroom most of the time. I am wearing a mask as I'm typing.
Life is good and I will continue to heal. Thank you to all that are there for me.
